Our Story
It Started With One Child: Me
My name is Amos Muwanguzi. I was born in a remote area where, as a young child, I suffered greatly. I was infested with jiggers because we lacked soap, and my family struggled to raise school fees. My elderly parents would wake me early each morning, like many other children in our community, to fetch water from a stream about two kilometers from our home before going to school.
Many days I went to school hungry, crying, and exhausted. There were times when I believed I would never complete my education. Yet I held onto God's promise in Jeremiah 29:11.
By God's grace and mercy, I did not remain in that pit. God lifted me, and I became a teacher. Those hardships gave me a lifelong passion because I witnessed—and personally experienced—the pain of poverty. I saw children with great dreams but no school fees, and orphans with no one to stand for them.
God placed a strong calling on my heart. That is why I founded Divine Success Nursery & Junior School: to give vulnerable children the opportunity to learn, receive nutritious meals, grow in a safe environment, and build a brighter future.
Today, through Amotake Success International Ltd, we care for 120 children from poor widows and vulnerable families while also providing access to safe drinking water. Without God's provision through compassionate people like you, many of these children could be forced to leave school and return to the streets.
